About this book
We draw these for the child who wants one thing and wants it completely: the jungle, the sea, the fire brigade. Every design is drawn in the studio and then laid out across the full height of the panel, so the scene reads as a wall rather than a motif that repeats until it runs out.
Quiet where it has to be
A children's room is a room to sleep in. Most of these designs sit on a pale ground with the drawing scattered over it, so the wall stays calm from up close and only shows itself from the doorway. The two dark ones, Dino darks and Meadow Night, are drawn for the wall behind the bed.
Room to choose
Three designs come in two colourways: Dear heart, Love my garden and Spring deer, each in a softer and a deeper version. Enough of a choice to settle an argument, not so much that a shop needs a colour chart.
How it goes on the wall
Each design is a panel of 100 by 280 cm: two panels of 50 cm wide in a fixed order, with no repeat to line up. Printed on non-woven, paste the wall rather than the paper. Every design page carries the panel drawing to scale, so you can show a parent exactly what arrives in the box.
